Cabelas

In August 2002, M&L completed work on a large tax incremental financing project in the Hamburg section of Berks County. The total project costs and source of funds were:

• Tax Incremental Financing             $21,000,000
• PA Opportunity Grant                      $1,000,000
• PennDOT                                              $5,000,000
• RACP                                                      $5,000,000
• Total                                                        $117,652,033

  The TIF funds of $21,000,000 made the project feasible and caused Cabela’s of Nebraska to build a 250,000 square foot building costing approximately $34,000,000.  Another 338,000 square feet of commercial uses resides on the remaining 108-acre site. Completed in 2003, this project ultimately resulted in over 1,000+ jobs located within the complex and millions of additional investment throughout the Hamburg area. M&L prepared the TIF plan for the $21,000,000 TIF loan, a loan we believe to be the 2^nd largest in Pennsylvania behind Kalahari.
