City of Pottsville Downtown Redevelopment Plan

In 2019, M&L completed a Certification of Blight and Redevelopment Area Plan in downtown Pottsville for the Pottsville Redevelopment Authority. The purpose of the Redevelopment Plan was to assist the city with the implementation of several major commercial redevelopment projects. These include the expansion of the Yuengling Brewery to allow for additional brewing capacity and enhanced improvements to the area for increased tourism. Additionally, the city anticipates a new hotel in the downtown as part of this overall redevelopment plan. As part of this on-going planning effort, M&L has assisted the city with zoning changes to the City’s ordinance to allow for the redevelopment plans to be implemented. M&L is continuing to work on this project in 2021 with the preparation of a Redevelopment Proposal and a TIF financing plan for the development sites.
